Dr Ann Kilanska

My Background

As a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and accredited EMDR Practitioner, I bring over 14 years of diverse experience from both statutory and voluntary mental health settings. Currently, I am contributing to the Acute Mental Health Services in the National Health Service (NHS).

Since achieving my qualification as a Clinical Psychologist, I have remained steadfast in my commitment to continuous professional development. This dedication has led me to pursue further training in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

I have experience in working with a range of difficulties, including trauma, grief, anxiety, burnout and relationship difficulties, amongst other areas. I am particularly interested in assisting individuals in developing more self-compassion, managing trauma, stress, and being overwhelmed, and enhancing their interpersonal connections.

I work integratively, adapting to your needs. I believe the bond between therapist and individual is crucial in therapy, and I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for understanding and processing life experiences. By working collaboratively, we can move towards you feeling more empowered, capable and skilled to overcome difficulties in your life.
